This is a part-time, remote position with flexible working hours. This is not a full-time position. About the Project The project is a single-player 2D action roguelite featuring fast-paced combat, exploration, enemies, elite encounters, bosses, relics, character progression, and procedurally/seeded expedition elements. The game will feature multiple corrupted regions, different heroes, weapons, abilities, relics, enemies, environmental hazards, elite encounters and bosses. The game is being developed in Godot Engine, and we are looking for developers who have knowledge and practical experience with Godot and can contribute to the project according to their area of expertise. Graphics & Art Direction The game will use a high-quality HD 2D top-down/isometric character style, similar in visual presentation to the following reference: HD 8-Directional Top-Down Character Pack – SmallScaleInt https://smallscaleint.itch.io/hd-8-directional-top-down-character-pack-1 The reference demonstrates the general visual quality, proportions, 8-directional presentation and animation style we are looking for. Important: The graphics for this project must be created from scratch specifically for the game. We are not looking for developers to simply use the characters or raw assets from the referenced asset pack. Characters and other required visual assets should be original creations made specifically for this project, while maintaining a consistent visual style and quality. The project will require animations such as: 8-directional movement Idle animations Running/walking Attacks Special abilities Dodge/roll movements Taking damage Death animations Blocking/defensive animations Character interactions Enemy animations Elite and boss animations Other animations required by gameplay Responsibilities Depending on your expertise, responsibilities may include: Gameplay programming in Godot Engine Combat systems Character movement and controls Enemy AI and behaviours Elite and boss mechanics Character abilities and progression Relic and upgrade systems Dungeon/room systems Environmental hazards UI implementation Animation implementation VFX implementation Game balancing Bug fixing and testing Performance optimization General gameplay development Developers with experience in Godot programming, 2D animation, character art, VFX, UI or technical implementation are welcome to apply. Requirements 18 years old or older B2 English level or higher Good written and spoken English Good knowledge of Godot Engine Practical experience with game development Practical experience with Godot and its development workflow A good PC capable of running modern game-development software Ability to work independently Ability to understand and follow project documentation Good communication and reliability Ability to work remotely as part of a small development team Portfolio or examples of previous work are strongly recommended For applicants working on graphics or animation, previous experience creating 2D characters, animations, sprites or similar game assets is highly desirable. Hiring Process The hiring process will consist of the following steps:

- Google Meet Interview
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a Google Meet interview to discuss their experience, skills, availability and potential role within the project.
- One-Week Test Period (Unpaid test)
Applicants who pass the interview may be invited to complete a one-week test period. This will allow both sides to evaluate technical skills, communication, reliability, workflow and compatibility with the project.
- Professional NDA Agreement
Before receiving confidential project information or beginning ongoing development work, the selected developer will be required to sign a professional Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Only applicants who successfully complete the evaluation process and agree to the required contractual terms will proceed with the project. Compensation The current compensation range is: €40–€60 per month The compensation is flexible depending on experience, skills, responsibilities and the amount/type of work provided.
