Senior Qlik Cloud / Qlik Sense BI Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Qlik Cloud / Qlik Sense BI Engineer to design, develop and enhance business intelligence solutions that support informed decision-making. The role combines strong technical expertise with business understanding to translate requirements into reliable data models and intuitive, high-performing dashboards. The ideal candidate takes ownership of delivery, exercises sound technical judgment and works independently, collaborating with stakeholders to improve existing solutions and address evolving business needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design and deliver end-to-end BI solutions, including data acquisition, pipelines, ETL processes, data modeling and dashboard delivery. Develop, rebuild and enhance Qlik Sense / Qlik Cloud dashboards, improving usability, visual clarity and alignment with business needs. Design and implement embedded analytics solutions, including custom Qlik widgets/visualizations and integration of Qlik content into enterprise web applications using Qlik APIs and SDKs. Independently assess existing dashboards and data models, identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions. Work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into data solutions and present insights to non-technical audiences. Build and maintain scalable, flexible data models in complex environments. Integrate data from SQL Server, Oracle, APIs, third-party systems and AWS services, including S3, Athena and Iceberg. Optimize performance across data pipelines, data models and dashboards. Bridge business and technology, combining BI development with a business analysis mindset. Contribute to supervision and compliance dashboards supporting operational and regulatory processes. Participate in strategic discussions and present insights to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders. Own assigned deliverables, proactively resolve issues and communicate progress, risks and dependencies with minimal supervision. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Technology Skills – Required Advanced proficiency in Qlik Sense / Qlik Cloud, including dashboard development, redesign and Qlik load scripting. Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with data pipelines, ETL processes and complex data modeling. Experience with API integrations and data acquisition from multiple sources. Understanding of data quality, governance and performance optimization. Ability to create clear, usable dashboards and effective data visualizations. Advanced English for communication with international stakeholders. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with Qlik Answers and other Qlik AI capabilities, such as AutoML or Predict. Exposure to AI/ML applied to BI. Background in financial services. Experience in complex, multi-source environments. Professional Skills Self-starter with strong ownership and autonomy, able to manage delivery with minimal supervision. Curiosity about data, with the ability to investigate inconsistencies and ask the right questions. Ability to assess existing solutions and recommend practical improvements. Strong communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills. Comfort working directly with business stakeholders, senior leadership and executives. Ability to operate in ambiguous and fast-changing environments. Education / Previous Experience Strong professional experience in end-to-end BI development, from data acquisition to actionable insights. Proven experience developing, rebuilding and optimizing Qlik Sense / Qlik Cloud dashboards. Experience independently managing technical deliverables and translating business requirements into analytics solutions.
